Focus: Integration (October 5 to 11)

WEEKLY INSTRUCTION: 

 

Monday

Testimony: We were praying for a baby who had been born at six months' gestation, and God performed a miracle. She is already being taken to the church (Pastor Iván Ibarra).

 

WE READ out loud: Isaiah 49:1. Listen to me, all you in distant lands! Pay attention, you who are far away! The Lord called me before my birth; from within the womb he called me by name.

Tuesday

Testimony: After praying for several months —and for the glory of God—, Giovanni, my husband, was recognized as the employee who brought in the most new customers on his route (Karla Diaz). 

 

WE READ out loud: Isaiah 49:2. He made my words of judgment as sharp as a sword. He has hidden me in the shadow of his hand. I am like a sharp arrow in his quiver.

Wednesday [Prodigals]

Testimony: My husband's license change was approved, so I was able to go help out at a children's camp that whole week. Praise God! (Cristina Fernández).

 

WE READ out loud: Isaiah 49:3. He said to me, “You are my servant, Israel, and you will bring me glory.”

Testimony: Throughout its history, our network has been characterized by a commitment to living in holiness and maintaining a spirit of love and unity (Comunionet Team).

 

WE READ out loud: Isaiah 49:4. I replied, “But my work seems so useless! I have spent my strength for nothing and to no purpose. Yet I leave it all in the Lord’s hand; I will trust God for my reward.”

Friday

PRAYER FOR THE NATIONS

 

Testimony: My husband missed five days of work. We prayed for him, and those days weren't deducted from his pay. Only God cares for and protects His children (Leader Lourdes Zacoch).

 

WE READ out loud: Isaiah 49:5. And now the Lord speaks—the one who formed me in my mother’s womb to be his servant, who commissioned me to bring Israel back to him. The Lord has honored me, and my God has given me strength.

  • WE PRAY: Lord, we accept our mission to bring the prodigals back to you. Testimony: On this Mentoring day, we honor and thank the Lord for our mentor, Sergio Scataglini. His life and family have been a gift from God. We bless his ministry of more than three decades carrying the fire of holiness (Comunionet Team).

 

WE READ out loud: Isaiah 49:6. He says, “You will do more than restore the people of Israel to me. I will make you a light to the Gentiles, and you will bring my salvation to the ends of the earth.”

THE REMNANT AND THE PRODIGALS - Isaiah 49:1-7

1– THE DESTINY OF THE REMNANT IS TO CALL THE PRODIGALS

Listen to me, all you in distant lands! Pay attention, you who are far away! The Lord called me before my birth; from within the womb he called me by name (v. 1).

2– THE REMNANT BECOMES THE MESSAGE FROM GOD TO THE EXILES

He made my words of judgment as sharp as a sword. He has hidden me in the shadow of his hand. I am like a sharp arrow in his quiver (v. 2).

3– THE REMNANT WILL BRING SPIRITUAL RENEWAL 

He said to me, “You are my servant, Israel, and you will bring me glory.” (v. 3).

4– THE REMNANT OVERCOMES FAILURE WITH FAITH 

I replied, “But my work seems so useless! I have spent my strength for nothing and to no purpose. Yet I leave it all in the Lord’s hand; I will trust God for my reward.” (v. 4). 

5– GOD GIVES THE REMNANT HONOR AND STRENGTH 

And now the Lord speaks—the one who formed me in my mother’s womb to be his servant, who commissioned me to bring Israel back to him. The Lord has honored me, and my God has given me strength (v. 5). 

6– THE REMNANT WILL BECOME VERY SUCCESSFUL IN THEIR MISSION

He says, “You will do more than restore the people of Israel to me. I will make you a light to the Gentiles, and you will bring my salvation to the ends of the earth.” (v. 6).

7– NOT ONLY THE REMNANT BUT THE EXILES WILL BE HONORED

The Lord, …says to the one who is despised … by the nations, …“Kings will stand at attention when you pass by. because …  the Holy One of Israel, who has chosen you.” (v. 7).

 

Discuss with the group: Which of these seven characteristics of the remnant do you most need to develop in your life?

Sunday

THE LORD’S SUPPER

 

Testimony: We thank the Lord for Pastors Joab Garcia, David Barboza, and Rosa Vincey for their dedication and pastoral work with the Congregate online Spanish churches (Comunionet Team).

 

WE READ out loud: Isaiah 49:7. The Lord, …says to the one who is despised … by the nations, …“Kings will stand at attention when you pass by. because …  the Holy One of Israel, who has chosen you.”

  • WE THANK GOD for the prodigals that will return and become people of honor. 

  • THE LORD’S SUPPER: Take a moment to “examine yourselves”/repent. READ Luke 22:19,20 (as we partake of the bread and cup): [Jesus] took some bread and gave thanks to God for it. Then he broke it in pieces and gave it to the disciples, saying, “This is my body, which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me. After supper he took another cup of wine and said, “This cup is the new covenant between God and his people —an agreement confirmed with my blood, which is poured out as a sacrifice for you”.
