MENTORING MEETING. After praying, WE REVIEW these notes together:
HOW TO RESPOND TO THE PROMISES OF GOD FOR OUR HOMES
(Based on Genesis 12:1-9)
1– GOD IS INTERESTED IN REDEEMING YOUR FAMILY:
Integrating our inner circle is very important to Him.
2– THE AMAZING PROMISES FOR ABRAM AND HIS DESCENDANTS:
The Lord had said to Abram, “Leave your native country, your relatives, and your father’s family, and go to the land that I will show you. I will make you into a great nation. I will bless you and make you famous, and you will be a blessing to others. I will bless those who bless you and curse those who treat you with contempt. All the families on earth will be blessed through you.” [...] Then the Lord appeared to Abram and said, “I will give this land to your descendants.” (Genesis 12:1-3,7).
3- ABRAM RESPONDED BELIEVING:
And Abram believed the Lord, and the Lord counted him as righteous because of his faith (Genesis 15:6).
4- ABRAM RESPONDED OBEYING:
So Abram departed as the Lord had instructed (Genesis 12:4).
5- ABRAM RESPONDED WORSHIPPING WHILE WAITING:
And Abram built an altar there and dedicated it to the Lord, who had appeared to him. After that, Abram traveled south and set up camp in the hill country, with Bethel to the west and Ai to the east. There he built another altar and dedicated it to the Lord, and he worshiped the Lord (Genesis 12:7,8).
6- ABRAM RESPONDED PERSEVERING IN THE JOURNEY:
Then Abram continued traveling south by stages toward the Negev." (Génesis 12:9).
Conclusion: Abram believed the promises / Abram obeyed the commands / Abram worshipped while still waiting / Abram persevered and moved gradually towards the goal.
Discuss with the group: How can you follow this example with concrete actions?
Dismiss the meeting with a victory cry of “Gloria a Dios” [Glory to God] at the count of three.

Sunday
THE LORD’S SUPPER
Testimony: My nephew Brahian had suffered an accident to his head. His skull caved in and he needed urgent surgery. Thanks to prayers, everything went well and he is now at home recovering (Ana Centurión, 2024).
-
WE TRAIN: Responding to God’s promises (7 of 7) - https://youtu.be/VMuR0MgYbAw?si=aueXL6l28JesCaqs
(Anyone designated may play the video).
-
WE THANK God for giving us an “obedient faith” such as Abram’s.
-
THE LORD’S SUPPER: READ 1 Corinthians 10:16,17 (as we partake of the bread and cup): When we bless the cup at the Lord’s Table, aren’t we sharing in the blood of Christ? And when we break the bread, aren’t we sharing in the body of Christ? And though we are many, we all eat from one loaf of bread, showing that we are one body.
-
WE ACT:
Challenge: memorize and practice Abram's responses to the promises (he believed, he obeyed, he worshiped and he persevered).
Read 2 Chronicles 30-31; John 18
Give: We are greatly blessed when we give: “You should remember the words of the Lord Jesus: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive’” (Acts 20:35, NLT).To donate, go to: https://en.comunionet.com/donar
Dismiss the meeting with a victory cry of “Gloria a Dios” [Glory to God] at the count of three.
