What is Comunionet?

Our mission is to embrace the world with prayer! Our goal is to double the number of groups each year. (Each group plants one group).

What happens during a prayer group meeting?

During the 10-minute meeting, the daily director reads the “Key” (daily prayer focus that all groups follow), receives people’s prayer requests, and then everyone in the group takes turns praying. First-time visitors are always welcome to listen in. Each meeting ends with a strong declaration of “Gloria A Dios!” (in Spanish), which means “Glory To God”.

How do I join a prayer group?

On the home page of, scroll down until you see the list of prayer groups. Find a time that works with your schedule, click on the Meeting Link (for Skype or Facebook groups), or call the teleconference number listed. You can also search by leader’s name or by the type of group you want to join (Skype, FaceBook or Teleconference)

Do I need any special software to join a group?

To join a Skype group, you will need to download Skype on your computer or mobile phone and create your own profile (account), before clicking the link to join the group. To join a Facebook Messenger group, download the Messenger app on your computer or phone, before clicking the link to join the group.

Is there a cost?

No, there is no cost to join the network. However, the network is supported by freewill offerings. To donate, simply navigate to the “Donate” page on the Comunionet website (For more info, check out Donations section of this FAQ).

Am I expected to join the same prayer group each day?

It is recommended to become part of a specific prayer group, in order to get to know each other and pray as a team.

Groups are made up of a maximum of ten people, and meet for ten minutes each day. In addition to praying together daily, as a community, we follow an annual Bible-reading plan. It is optional to participate, but a great encouragement for reading through the entire Bible in a year. It is our goal to double the number of groups each year.

What are the benefits of joining a prayer group?

You will receive daily encouragement and instruction on living a life of holiness. You will learn to be faithful in prayer. You will be encouraged to read the Bible methodically. You have a place where you can invite others who need help and encouragement.

The link to the prayer group is not working or no one is there.

We work diligently to make sure the links for each group are up-to-date. If you find that a prayer group link is not working properly, please contact us and feel free to select a different group in your preferred time-frame. Check what time the group meets. A group will only be actively praying during the time that is next to the title of the group. Please keep in mind that the meeting times are displayed in Central Time. There is a clock displaying Central Time directly above the list of groups.

How can I report a problem with the website?

If you encounter a link that is not working, a button that leads to nowhere, or are getting an error message, please report all technical issues here.

Where can I find the "meeting link" for my Facebook Messenger group?

Before beginning, please note that you must set your Facebook profile to public. You can do this by going to, going into settings, and checking “yes” next to the question “Do you want search engines outside of Facebook to link to your profile” that is found in the Privacy section. Once you have done this, click on your name at the top of the screen and then copy the URL in the address bar of your browser. What does it mean to be a Comunionet “Leader”?

A Comunionet Leader is a person who plants and oversees a daily prayer group. Leaders are the “host” of the prayer meeting: he/she provides the daily Prayer Key and designates Daily Directors within the group to help lead each day.

How do I become a group leader?

Be a part of an existing Comunionet prayer group and get approval from your group’s leader to plant your own group. Find at least two people who are willing to be a part of your new prayer group at a designated time. Choose a connection method (Skype, Messenger,, etc). Create your “group” (on Messenger, Skype, or by dialing in on and add your participants to that group. Register the new group by navigating to the Leader’s page on the Comunionet website ( found here) and select “Create Group”. Note: You will need to copy the “meeting link” from the app you used to create the group and paste it on this form. On Facebook Messenger group, click on the “i”, then “share link” to copy the link. On Skype group, click on the name of the group, then “share link to join group” Upon filling out the form (Create Group), your group will automatically show up on the Comunionet website and you will be registered as the leader

What are my responsibilities as a leader?

Host your group’s daily prayer meeting (initiate the call). Fill out the weekly Leader’s Report (see “Leader’s Report” tab below) to obtain the weekly Prayer Key. Read the Prayer Key out loud to your group in the daily meetings. When you have members who attend faithfully, assign Daily Directors--people who can lead the meeting on a designated day of the week. Encourage your group participants to invite new people, until you reach a maximum of ten participants. Contact those in your group, when needed, to ensure their attendance. Be on the lookout for a person from your group who is capable of leading/planting a new group (We ask each group to plant at least one new group each year). Live in holiness through faith in Christ (1 Corinthians 1:30). When possible, attend the group(s) your leaders have planted. Encourage the leader(s) to visit your initial group at least once a week, to help keep a two-way connection.

How do I register my new group so it shows up on

From, click on the “Leaders” link. Select “Create Group”. (Note: You will need to copy the “meeting link” from the app you used to create the group and paste it on this form). Keep in mind that you may need to convert your local time into Central Time Zone. Upon filling out the form (Create Group), your group will automatically show up on the Comunionet website and you will be registered as the leader

What is the Leader’s Report and how do I fill it out?

The Leader’s Report is a very simple weekly form about your group that takes less than a minute to fill out. It is how the Comunionet Team knows whether or not your registered group is active. It is due by 5 pm CT every Monday. Once submitted, you will receive the Prayer Keys for the following week via email. On, click on the “Leaders” tab, then “Leader Report”, and fill out a form for each group you lead.

What is the Weekly Prayer Key and how do I access it?

The weekly Prayer Key is a written prayer guide used by all of the prayer groups in Comunionet. The daily Prayer Key is read out loud at the beginning of each meeting. Each Group Leader receives the Prayer Key via email, upon filling out their weekly Leader’s Report. The Prayer Key can be shared with the group via chat on Skype and FB Messenger groups, or by email to members of teleconference groups.

How do I modify or close a prayer group?

If you need to Create, Modify or Close a prayer group, you can do so from the Manage Your Group page on here . Just click on the option you need, fill out the form, and we will take care of the rest.

Who to contact if you run into issues

If you need help with anything related to leading your group, please contact your supervisor (the leader who guided you through becoming a leader) first. How can I donate?

Comunionet is a ministry under Scataglini Ministries, Inc., a 501(C)(3), religious not-for-profit organization and is supported by free-will donations. Is it safe to donate on your website?

Yes! We use financial processing institutions that have secure encryption on all of their transactions. SMI does not have access to nor stores your financial information.

Community Guidelines and Reporting

Prayer Group guidelines/code of conduct

Prayer should be the main focus of every meeting. Avoid distractions like discussing politics, sports, food, etc. No sales or promotion should be made in the group, other than for prayer and the activities of the network.

Reporting an issue

Comunionet will never ask for your personal information (such as your identification number, payment details, login details, etc) during a prayer meeting. If you think someone is abusing the Comunionet system, please contact us. This includes anyone treating others disrespectfully, using the prayer meetings for anything other than prayer, requesting personal information, donations, or any other inappropriate behavior.
